This part of the site presents the public-facing side of the Music College. Like the rest of the site, it has only recently been crafted, but the sorts of things you might expect to find are:-

Here we attempt to present or present links to news articles about what we, at the Music School, get up to or articles of general musical interest.

• Making Music in Groups. Keele University's Young People and Music Participation project has shown that one of the most important factors in a child's continuation with learning an instrument is having the opportunity to make music in groups with their friends. These group music-making experiences plus the goal centered approach provided by Graded exams seem to be important factors in children's enthusiasm to keep learning their instrument even when other academic pressures and social/leisure activities might otherwise begin to distract them from the age of about 12.
