Huntingdonshire Music School Association

Now that we’ve come over all interactive and are starting to expose our social bits (careful ) we’ve added some added a lot of capabilities that folks who register with us can make us of.

These include:-

• ability to post comments
• ability to use and post on the discussion forums
• ability to sign up for our email distribution lists so that we can keep - those that want to be - informed of what we’re up to and - occasionally - when we’re on the scrounge for help

This makes life easy for you - your sign-in works everywhere on the site and you can choose as much or as little to keep advised of. It also makes our (read ‘my’) life easier as we don’t have to maintain separate contact forms or manage email addresses - everyone looks after their own!

You don’t have to be a student or parent of a student - anyone can register with us as an ‘interested spectator’ and join in. We are a friendly bunch after all. It’s just that our students (and teachers) get to do a bit more.

The OFSTED report for the Huntingdonshire Regional College is available online now.

An overview of the OFSTED inspection process is provided on their site.

There’s very little on the music school however. This isn’t surprising given that at best we were only ever going to be subject to a ‘light touch’ inspection to support the main one of the performing arts side of the college. It does say, however, that

‘The music school is very successful.’

On the face of it not a lot said. Having spoken to an OFSTED inspector though, whilst short, to be stated so clearly is unusual and high praise indeed!
