Twins - Almost?
When we talk about twinning we don't mean cloning - the only 'GM' you'll
find on this site refers to Great Music (or Musicians).
Huntingdon and Godmanchester Twinning Association held a 'Minerva Night
Club' evening at the Commemoration Hall in Huntingdon.
Amongst the acts
booked for the night were 4 musicians from the Music School:-
- Rachel Blundell (Clarinet) : Donkey Ride by Paul Harris
- Rory Evans-Doran (Trumpet) : Trumpet Concerto, 2nd movement by Haydn
- Mathew Horn (E flat Horn): Andante Cantabile by Tchaikovsky
- Jessica Plum (Flute): Sicillienne by Fauré, Anitra's Dance from 'Peer
Gynt' by Grieg. Jessica also played John Denver's Annie's Song
with the Jemstones and managed to get her photo taken for her troubles.
If you didn't go you missed a good evening's entertainment and some
smashng music from all who played or sang.
If you'd like some music played at your event you only have to ask .....
you provide the place and occasion and we'll provide the talent!
Picture Archive - 2004
The idea is to provide a pictorial archive of some of the things our
musicians get up to. Obviously this depends on getting the pictures in
the first place ( a hint to those with cameras). All our pictures are
'live' - not staged. Hence it can also be difficult to get a decent shot
without interfering with the performance.
This page provides small thumbnail views - if you want to see the bigger
picture simply click on the appropriate thumnail. This way everyone doesn't
have to wait as long the the pictures to appear.
